so, this is a thing. I've been consuming way too much Miraculous content and thought, "hey you like magic system's Point, why don't you try and come up with a more stable way of explaining things that people can use if they want, since the canon explanations kind of suck" and by the time I could respond to my subconscious I already had three topics I could go in depth for, so fuck it I guess.
for the record, this isn't actually my attempt at giving an intelligible explanation at canon's Miraculous system, it's my own design that others can use because I have no actual plans at making a Miraculous fic. If you need to know who's making it, this world's version of Adrien. He was really interested in how exactly the Miraculi work and regularly grilled Plagg for info. his Chat Noir is also much more serious and tactical because of this, being the one who researches everything to help Ladybug with up-to-date info so they can train and grow as well as possible.

brief note for people who are aware of my other story on here: yes it's technically a one-shot. yes chapter two is being made. if you want to take the idea and roll with it, contact me about it, I'll help you brainstorm because I have too many ideas anyway. don't expect chapter two to come out anytime soon though, it's fighting me every step of the way.
alright, with that done: this is a work that won't shut up in my head, so here you are. the basic premise is that Something happened on Roshar and accidentally yeeted the Surge Shards (Odium, Honour and Cultivation) to earth, where they eventually caused the glowing baby. Quirks don't exist, it's all Stormlight, Resonances and the Nightwatcher fucking around because she thinks it's fun. however, much like their predecessors, the current Odium Vessel woke up and chose violence. don't expect regular updates.

Alright then, this is kind of hard to summarise but I'll give it a shot. A year before canon, Izuku is nerding over Snipe when the pro mentions Lady Nagant and her skill. This sends him down a bit of a rabbithole that results in him discovering that you don't just not need a quirk to be a hero, it was possible to surpass them through sheer training.
from here, read as Izuku pushes himself beyond every boundry thought possible, and drags a number of people with him, kicking and screaming if he has to.
