Summary
When Al falls gravely ill, Wade is forced to confront a version of fear he can’t deflect with jokes nor violence. For once, his mouth falls short while his heart races for the two people who mean the most to him. Logan-freshly off a mission ,is beyond exhausted, barely holding himself together, but still refuses to leave Wade and Al’s side. He’s too damn stubborn to admit he’s running on empty and would rather drop than let Wade face this alone.
Or, Al is ill, and Wade makes the hard call to send Logan back to the X-Mansion for a few days—just to rest, eat something, sleep in a real bed. Wade promises he’ll be right behind him. But days pass. Logan waits. And the silence stretches too long. He starts to unravel, missing Wade more than he’ll admit.
I’m about to emotionally obliterate Logan lmao.
