Summary
Violet is ready for college, she is ready for freedom, and she is ready to come out of her shell.
Being forced into a major that isn't exactly her first choice makes it seem like she has already failed. But she is determined to succeed, to make some friends, and maybe to even have a little fun while she was at it.

Like my gaze doesn’t follow her everywhere she goes. Like my shadows don’t tell me every time she moves. Like I don’t beg Liam for updates from between gritted teeth, trying to make it come off as a casual interest, or at least as purely self-preservation. When I know in my chest, in my fucking heart, that it’s because I don’t think I know how to live without this woman in my life, and I absolutely do not mean because our dragons are bonded and we’re permanently tied together.

Summary
In nearly every way (except the most notable), the Princess of Hyrule was the Goddess incarnate. For that reason alone, it was a little ingenious for the King to offer up his daughter’s hand to whoever was able to pull the sword.
Link hadn’t meant to pull the sword. He planned to watch as his comrades pulled with all their might, perhaps even tease a few about how it was all for the better that the sword didn’t budge, because surely no Princess could ever love their ugly mugs, and then get into a good old-fashioned wrestling match with their bruised egos after one too many jokes. But it hadn’t mattered what he had in mind; Link’s plans be damned. The Goddess had already plucked him out of obscurity and set him along Her own path.
