“Wonderful! If you could just…” the words hung heavy on his tongue. This was a bad idea. A horrible idea. But when Drysdale looked around his barren apartment, soulless and dark, it occurred to him that regardless of the outcome, it couldn’t possibly get much worse.
“Drysdale?”
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “I need you to tell me where to find Washford.”
OR: a fix-it fic for Washford + Drysdale's separated realized endings, because it absolutely destroyed me and I need to share this pain.

Summary
Mikhail knew what he wanted from a very early age. To get his family out of the Soviet Union. At age fifteen he wasn’t strong enough to get those he cared about out of there, but something he never valued too much gave him a chance, his smarts. He was able to get a complete scholarship to an American private school in a tiny town that had significant personality. It wasn’t until the summer where he meets the most interesting person in this town and only there for the summers.
Herbert Ludwig’s life had been set in stone from the day he was born. And by god he LOVED it— he was ecstatic every summers day when he could follow his father into the base and watch his work. He didn’t care that he was seen as creepy, off putting or even ‘devil spawn’(which was more insulting to his father than him), he had his father, mother and friend Dell. That was enough for him. Then Dell brought around a rather tall and handsome boy.
