    Shouto Todoroki had been going to illegal underground Quirk fighting rings ever since he was eight, a way to feel some kind of connection to Touya, remembering their rare times together, as well as a way to get back at Endeavor, knowing how furious he'd be seeing his masterpiece using his fire in that way. Even if he spiraled after joining UA, it wasn't bad at all! Even if he had to drink to sleep. Even if it was a struggle to get through the school day and not snap at his classmates, teachers or anyone around him. Even if he hardly got any sleep, mental state fraying at the edges from insomnia. But what if Dabi saw how self-destructive the UA student was?

    Or at least, he thinks he did. He might have also time traveled. Hopped dimensions. Given everyone around him amnesia, including himself.
    The only thing he knows for sure is he’s awakened in a world that’s forgotten him, everything and everyone having changed and moved on.

    Homeless and on the run, robbed of his life and family, he has no choice but to learn to defend himself—and others—making friends, enemies, and a new family along the way—one he’ll do anything to protect, even it means dying and losing every semblance of himself, including the love of those he’s trying to save.

    Vigilante!izuku au with found family, a descent into insanity/villainy, redemption, dadzawa, Dadbi, and a suicidal wannabe hero with no sense of self-preservation.

    TLDR; in which immortality comes at a price Izuku isn’t willing to pay, but damn if he’ll let anyone else suffer for it.

    His eyes trace the ballroom; taking in the sight of coworkers- former teachers- allies and friends-

    -only to find one body, one solitary person remaining at a table on the opposite end of the hall; deliberately placed away from everyone, as far from the dancing as one can be, the two-toned hair of Shouto Todoroki sticking out like a sore thumb even in the low light.

    He doesn’t mean to make a big deal of it, honestly, doesn’t mean anything by it at all; but suddenly, looking at him and his soft face and his wide, eager eyes, the abrupt, unexplainable urge to go to him is so strong that his chest burns from the inside out.

    -And fuck, he must be getting soft, because before he can change his mind or give anyone a chance to stop him, he grabs his beer, refastens his jacket (like a class-fuckin’-act), and makes his way over to the the solitary body at the empty table across the hall.

    “What ya doing over here, halfie?" He asks.
