The only issue is what comes with the women's team is a new gaffer who seems to be all kinds of perfect for Ted, which is perfect just perfect perfect perfect. Especially because after a summer break it's Rachel Millers' arrival which seems to have Rebecca realising that she may have a lot more than feelings of friendship for Ted. In his mind, he added, you deserve someone better than who you’ve got.

In which Rebecca, pressured by Rupert, must find a way to end her teenage son's fixation on American football. She happens upon the perfect scapegoat to play the bad guy in her son's life: a well-meaning folksy fool of an American football coach, Ted Lasso. She supposes it won't be hard for him to ruin the sport for David.
She does not suppose at all - because why would she? - that Ted could just as easily ruin what is left of her facade of love for Rupert.
