Whether one, or perhaps both, were contact lenses or heterochromia was natural, that he couldn't know – seldom is the line dividing truth from lies set in stone, very much like the one separating sanity from utter madness – living and breathing example of the fallacy was right in front of his eyes.
Nikolai rested chin on a palm and leaned forwards. “Tell me Dos-kun, what do you think is the worse”, he murmured in equally sentimental and derisive tone, as if vacillating between scorn and affections. Despite the sorrowful smile there was something in Nikolai’s expression that alarmed.
“To clip bird’s wings or to take its voice away?”
In which Nikolai, driven to brink of madness by love, saves Fyodor from death and helps him recover. Except now that he finally has Fyodor within arm’s reach he won’t be so willing to let go.

Instead, the Port Mafia boss is clad in a figure-hugging latex dress, barely covering the lower part of his body, paired with knee- high leather shoes with stilettos and a tiny purse in his hands. The only common element between his current appearance and his usual one lies in the unmistakable deep black color that dominates the look, perfectly matching Mori’s dark hair.
"Before you say anything, Fukuzawa-dono, I must warn you that I am not in the mood for explanations. I had no choice but to come undercover," Mori mutters, putting stray hair behind his ear as he leans against the doorway of Fukuzawa’s office.

Summary
Polyamory was a relatively new development in the world of nobility, but when the emperor was looking to add another consort to his flock, it was Quackity’s job to ensure that Schlatt was the one chosen for the position. As the duke of one of the four major duchies of the Antarctic Empire, Schlatt was a political powerhouse for sure, and Quackity couldn’t be more proud of his protector. All they had to do was get through the consort trials and then Schlatt would be in, and Quackity could continue to support his partner from the shadows, where he could be safe and protected.
Of course, there is a chance the plan devolved almost immediately upon execution, and Quackity found himself getting far more contact with the royal flock and the other consort candidates than he ever could have expected.
