“Not really…,” Yelena says as if her hand didn't shake at all. “I had a lot of practice almost dying. You?”
Kate digs deep to be met with panic and fear and finds neither of it. There are worse things than dying while you get to hold hands with the girl you've been slowly falling in love with. Like having no one to hold hands with at all. So, no, Kate is not scared. The tingling sensation in her extremities and her dry mouth have another reason.
