Summary
“Did you lure me out there to kill me?” Tanjiro’s body deflated in an exhale, his tone a dying whisper.
“No,” the demon drolled.
Tanjiro blinked at that, “W-what?” he stuttered out. He smelled malicious intentions; ones sent pangs of fear slithering down his spine.
Muzan made a ‘hmph’ noise, still eyeing the boy.
“Run, Tanjiro,” he whispered, releasing Tanjiro’s chin and stepping back. That uncanny smile was still carved onto Muzan’s lips.
OR:
Tanjiro feels Muzan's eyes on him, they follow him everywhere, constantly. On a fated night, Muzan lures Tanjiro out to woods outside of the Red Light District, his motives unknown.

Tamsy didn't appear to have been seriously injured. The state of his lungs, though, was another thing entirely. Eishia had tried to help as much as she could but Tamsy had assured her it was a well-known illness from wherever he came from.
“It will clear up on its own, that's what Tamsy told her,” Zanka had commented over breakfast, yawning and pouring more coffee into his mug.
Rudo, however, couldn't shake off his worry. Particularly considering his own sickness, which was getting harder to keep under wraps.

Regto had choked on his noodles that one time Rudo had asked him about it, and only explained that losing the ears and tail was considered a sign of reaching adulthood. Rudo had suspected there was more to it than that, but didn't press the matter.
