Jungkook’s wolf howls inside his head as he pulls a small piece of red cloth from his pocket and places it on the desk. Scent tokens like this one usually accompany proposal letters. They're supposed to entice an alpha. To tempt him. To tease him. But when Jungkook first pulled the red cloth from the envelope —when he smelled the omega for the first time— he wasn’t enticed or tempted or teased.
He was consumed.
The strong scent now fills his study, and he breathes it in until it fills him up just the same. He’s been breathing it all day, every day for a week straight. He’s been breathing it in his whole fucking life. Jungkook picks up the piece of cloth, puts it to his nose, and does what his wolf has been begging him to do all week. He breathes it in deep and then deeper.
