Summary
“I’m George,” the guy – George – says, not offering a hand. “Nice weather out here, don’t know how you race like this.”
Max is busy staring at the pearly whites blinding him. There’s no way this guy hasn’t had work done. Lips like those, plump and pouty, would probably burst if Max bit on them. The paddock has become a cesspool of influencers and celebrities since Netflix came in with their cameras, but it still rubs Max the wrong way, how they prance around knowing nothing about racing and offering their inane opinions.
“It’s fine,” he dismisses, gripping the ball. “I’m good at what I do.”
“I’m sure you are,” George says, flashing another cookie-cutter smile. “Good luck on Sunday, then.”

Summary
And he’s not looking at George’s lips, but George’s lips are the thing he happens to be looking at. Which is not the same, and George should know that, but he looks at him back like he doesn’t.
“Max,” say those lips, dry. Max thinks he could fix that, probably. “What the fuck.”
A brief exposé on why doing lines alone with the man you have a strange psychosexual obsession with is (not) a good idea.

Summary
“There are these boxes society loves to put us in,” George said. “If you don’t fit, you’re mocked. Especially in this sport. But I’ve learned that being true to myself doesn’t make me less of a man. If anything, it makes me stronger. I don’t need anyone’s permission to be who I am. It takes strength to be yourself in a world that tells you not to be. And if that makes me ‘princess,’ then so be it. I’d rather be beautiful than bitter.”

Summary
It’s not, like, a thing.
It’s only happened twice, if you don’t count the time during the pre-season when Max shoved a thigh against George’s crotch, and George, touch-deprived and broken-hearted, let out a sharp gasp and came instantly. Max, looking shocked and frightened, stormed away.
