“Cool,” Clancy says, rolling over onto his back. The open mesh of the tent is just translucent enough to make out the beginnings of stars dotting the sky. “Maybe once we’re out of here, and like, married and stuff, then we’ll have a garden.”
The Torchbearer sits up. The sound of the swishy fabric rubbing against itself is almost too loud, so Clancy has to strain his ears to make it out when the Torchbearer says “what the fuck?”
Or; Clancy still has a lot to learn about life outside of Dema.

Summary
With his yellow bandana pulled high on the bridge of his nose, the Torchbearer had his sight set firmly on leading his group back to camp safely, albeit with a new addition amongst their ranks.
Clancy had heard of them before, the Banditos, but it was only ever in warning. The Bishop’s weekly sermon that reminded them of the danger that awaited beyond the concrete walls.
'Our walls are high for your safety, it’s not necessarily to stop you leaving, it’s to stop them entering.'
Clancy chuckled to himself. Some good that did.
