the title is from a song by mitski! its actually the song that made me write this fic
clancy- no? can i even call him that anymore? the bishop, he stood in front of me, holding out a hand, and in it was a red robe. he wanted me to put it on! just seeing the crimson fabric lay on his shoulders made my skin crawl, it felt so surreal, i was so hopeful, he was supposed to be the one who broke the cycle. i was wrong.
