Summary
“People always want what they don’t have,” atleast that’s what Rays dad always told him. Ray thought he was wrong.
He had almost everything he wanted. Good friends, great girlfriend, and a fair amount of popularity.He had almost everything he wanted.
Till one day he met a boy completely opposite from him-Stebbins. He should’ve tossed him to the side and forgot about him. But he couldn’t. And since then all he has wanted was to be looked at by Stebbins.
But you can’t have everything.

Summary
It was the major that was laying on the ground. His reflector sunglasses had come off, scattered across the concrete. Around the majors head, a red puddle started seeping onto the stone. The majors body laid still as Ray kept walking, out of instinct by now.
"He's dead." Stebbins croaked out.
Or
After the major is spontaniously killed by Rebels, the remaining two walkers escape.

Summary
New student Billy Stebbins takes over Ray Garraty's mind like a parasite.
Garraty loves his girlfriend Jan, and Stebbins is almost everything she isnt, and yet he dreams of him instead.

"Don't tell dad." Garraty had cried once to his mother when he was young, much younger. He'd been caught with a boy, 'caught' but they didn't know what they were doing. Not really. The only thought Garraty had was, don't tell dad. Why had he thought that? Garraty's father never hit him, never shamed him. Whenever he disobeyed, Garraty's father punished him, yes, but never violently, and yet there was this unspoken knowledge that what Garraty had done with that boy was different, worse.
Even with his father long dead, those words echoed in his head. Don't tell dad. He was scared as if still there was this cosmic punishment waiting for him on the other side.
