Summary
Nico is in love with Percy and basically everyone aside from Percy has caught on with that.
Hades and Persephone totally ship it, because Nico dating the most beloved son of Poseidon would force Poseidon into an alliance with Hades for a change.
Poseidon disagrees, so he arranges for Percy to be married off to Triton. So Percy stays in the family.
Zeus also disagrees and sends every available son of his after Percy to ensure his own alliance with Poseidon.
Percy has had enough of gods screwing up his love-life, so he finds himself fleeing right into Nico's arms. -
