Summary
Aang looks up from the table and studies his friend. Zuko is skimming through the pages in his hands, brows furrowed and deep in thought.
A strand of his hair falls out of his top knot, covering a part of his left eye and scar, but he doesn't seem to notice. Without thinking, Aang reaches over the table to gently sweep it behind his ear, fingers lightly brushing against Zuko’s cheek. Zuko snaps out of his trance at the gesture. “Thanks,” he mumbles, blushing as a pretty pink color rises to his cheeks.
Aang’s heart skips a beat.
