You and Dante have built a strong friendship over the years that's a bigger source of comfort than either of you would readily admit. One afternoon, a relatively normal but silly conversation about Dante's choice of reading materials leads to an unexpected and awkward confession. Summary

Main series is 'slowburn to whump' starting as Vash making multiple visits to a soft-spoken, neurotic librarian with notably sharp perception and an admirably open heart, despite everything he knows, despite everything building he swan dives into almost a life with him, and Wolfwood, but everything comes crashing down when his past and his nature inevitably rears its head and the librarian's life is permanently changed and ripped straight off its hinges.
