Eri walked over to her bed and tore open the gift excitedly. Inside was two smaller boxes along with something at the bottom she didn’t recognize. She took out the two boxes first and overturned them on her bed. Clattering onto her bedspread were sets of rainbow, iridescent knives. Eri stared down at them before looking up to Bakugou.
“Am I allowed to have this?” she asked.
“Are you going to stab someone?” he asked back.
“No.”
“Then you’re fine. Anyways, the one in the first box is called a butterfly knife,” Bakugou began.

Izuku thinks about the wave of hatred-disgust-fear that rose up when Kacchan realised the extent of their fusion, and buries his wet face in his mum’s shoulder.
He doesn’t want to fuse with anyone ever again.
