Summary
After managing to calm down Miss Buckin and reach an agreement with her, and then going to do check ups on all of the villagers that had been roughed up by the marines, Marco had trudged home to the house he owned there on Spinx to collapse in his bed. This is something he was one hundred percent sure on. And yet when he opened his eyes it was to wooden boards instead of the white plaster he had grown accustomed to.
Marco was slightly disoriented at the unexpected change in location — though not for more than a few seconds, New World veteran that he was — but there was a sinking sensation in his stomach as he tried to sort through the vaguely familiar situation. He remained lying on the bed as his eyes roamed over the ceiling and got caught on a small carving. The sinking solidified into a rock of sea stone and fell all the way through his feet.
Damn it.
He was in his room on the Moby Dick.
