Summary
She stuck the cigarette between her lips, the shade of pink her mother had slapped on her before they left now coating the filter. Rio crossed the distance, taking both ends of the fabric and crossing one over the other. “You are meant to be highly educated, you cannot tie a bow?”
He raised his chin, smirking as he quipped, “Just because men are educated does not mean they are intelligent.”
She finished the bow, smoothing out any puckering. Rio raised a single brow as she took the cigarette between two fingers again, blowing the smoke off to the side of the man. “Another topic we agree on.”
“How thrilling,” August smirked.
“Thrilling indeed,” she deadpanned.

Summary
Rio raised her chin, her face relaxing in disinterest. “So why are you only pinching me now?”
“I needed an eye witness actually seeing you in action.” She titled her head, her gaze curious roaming over Rio’s body. “I’ll give it to you, your sleight of hand isn’t half bad.” Her free hand came to Rio’s thigh, slowly trailing upwards. “And you can’t necessarily swap cards without doing a little counting too, right? That takes some skill, hon.”
Rio’s tongue felt heavy, the warmth of this woman’s touch was spreading across her skin like delicious pin pricks. “I don’t know what you mean,” Rio sweetly lied.
“Mmmh,” she hummed, her fingertips skating underneath the hem of Rio’s skirt. There was a rough tug followed by the sharp snap of her garter. The owner held up the cards in show. “You’re a terrible liar for your line of work, baby.”

Summary
“You could come with,” Alice offered, as she and Rio picked through cartons of take out while Love is Blind played in the background, “There’s bring a friend night twice a month. I can bring you?”
Rio’s brow furrowed, “You can just…bring a friend? Don’t I need a mask or something?”
Alice laughed, then swallowed it down when she realized Rio wasn’t joking, “Um, no, you don’t need a mask. Do you….want to wear a mask?”
“I don’t know, Alice,” Rio said, only a little defensively, “I’ve never been to a bondage club before, how am I supposed to know?”
