“That’s because nothing you have to offer would be of interest to me.” Jamie shrugged as she pulled a bill from her wallet. “That temple is bloody cursed and I’m not interested in dying for a few quid.”
“Cursed?” Dani repeated with a playful smile. “You can’t possibly believe-”
“Aye, I do - and it’d be in your best interest to believe it as well.” Jamie stood up from her chair and slammed the bill onto the table.
or: The Mummy AU. Eddie is visiting Dani in Egypt and while drinking too much one night, he steals a treasure map off of someone. The map apparently leads to the Amulet of Alhimaya (Amulet of Protection), which is believed to be buried with the Pharaoh Thutmose in the Temple of Aten (which is said to be cursed). After speaking with some of the locals for more information, they find out that a treasure hunter named Jamie Taylor might know about the map. They end up tracking her down one night in an attempt to hire her to help guide them to the temple.

Summary
For day 3 prompt of Damietober: Apocalypse
Synopsis: Four months after the world as we know it has come to an end, Jamie decides to embark on an adventure in search of other people who might still be alive. While on the road, she spots a state border sign with writing on it and quickly discovers she is not the only person left. As Jamie follows this person around the country, she gets to know who she is through letters and tapes left behind at different locations. While growing closer to finding the author of the letters and tapes, she finds herself falling head over heels for someone she’s never even met.

"Give a warm welcome to our newest babe, new to our stage but not to the trade. She comes all the way from the U-S of A and she is here tonight to warn you to stay away. Please welcome Skye."
Jamie scrunched her face in confusion as all the lights on the stage turned off and “American Woman” by Lenny Kravitz started blaring through the speakers around the inside of the club.
Suddenly the lights turned back on and Jamie’s attention was drawn to the back centre of the stage. A woman Jamie had never seen working at the club stood before everyone, her hands behind her back and her body completely still. She wore light brown cowgirl boots and Jamie watched as her left heel started to tap against the floor to the beginning beat of the song.

Summary

Summary
It's the 19th century and Dani has agreed to come along with her father, Lieutenant Clayton, and Edmund, her fiancé, to the jungle of Panama in an attempt to cross the wilds as one of the first explorers. Of course, they need crew and thus Jamie, Owen and Hannah, along with Henry and Peter, join the original three in their expedition. But the secrets they discover endanger the group along with the carnivors and indigenous tribes between the trees.
