Summary
In university, Alex's best friend, Henry, abandoned him. After six years, Henry returns to the devastation that it caused. In an odd, paranormal, and bloody circumstance, Alex and Henry grow close again, picking up the pieces despite all odds.

“Alex… You are sort of Catholic, aren’t you?” Henry asked between coughs.
“Emphasis on the sort of,” Alex carefully wiped the blood off of Henry’s lips and chin. It was pointless – with each cough, there was more, but Alex would wipe him clean regardless. “I believe in God and the afterlife and all. I have to, with everything I experience. I was raised Catholic, too. But I don’t go to church, and I definitely don’t believe everything the church does.”
Henry hesitated before asking, “In your opinion, does somebody get possessed because they… well, sin?”
The misery radiated off of Henry. Good old Catholic guilt that snuck in with the demon. Alex’s face crumbled. “No. God, no. You think this is your fault?”
A couple of tears mixed with blood fell on Henry’s cheeks.
