Steve Harrington is autistic which his coworker Robin Buckley is unaware of and he is unaware of the fast that she has ADHD and when her and two literarily children (Dustin Henderson and Erica Sinclaire) get stuck in a Russian elevator because she just had to help them decode Russian and get herself into this mess.

Steve is autistic and gets really overstimulated while trapped under Star court mall in season 3 and eventually he has a meltdown thankfully Dustin's there to keep Stevie from hurting himself.

And Dustin could hear it. Hear the too fast- yet steady- beat that kept on going. Despite everything, it stayed. Despite the demodogs and the flesh monsters and the falls and every other near-death experiences. It just kept going.
Dustin took fistfulls of Steve's jacket and buried his face into the older boy's chest and clung to the sound.
