Summary
All her life, she felt like a two-headed creature. She couldn’t tell where Natalie ended and she began. Everything she knew smelled like the blonde, tasted, or sounded like her. Charlotte was a mirrored room, reflecting only Nat—her dimples, crooked smile, perfect nose, and most of all, her worried eyes. Eyes that no longer shone the way they once did.
Before the demons, before the sleepless nights beside the taller one.
Not before that night, on the ground, clutching a collapsed Lottie Matthews in her arms, hands shaking as she called the ambulance.
Before the screams.
Before Charlotte.
