Everyone knows Jackie Taylor, but no one really knows her. No one but Misty. When the plane crashes into the wilderness, maybe this is Misty’s chance to show Jackie that they belong together. If she can keep the other girl alive, that is.

Summary
Misty Quigley is just trying to survive as a “weird girl” in the 90s, and what’s more normal than being in love with the most popular girl on the soccer team? But when the plane to nationals goes down in the middle of nowhere with no hope of rescue anytime soon, Misty is forced to assume the role of pseudo- nurse and background leader. She tells herself it’s all for the team, but her main concern is Jackie.
Jackie Taylor is going to snap. She’s spent her whole life pushing her feelings down and coping with her obsessive mind. Jackie always wanted a way out, but a plane crash wasn’t what she wished for. As team captain, of course, she was chosen as a leader, until better leaders step up and Jackie is replaced and left with nothing. Expect for Misty.

Yellowjackets if more of it went right and the aftermath of the crash was (a little) more like summer camp. Tai and Lottie don’t have their supernatural connections leading to a tamer wilderness experience.
