Shadowheart doesn’t know much. She doesn’t know what the artifact she carries is, or why it was important enough that everyone else had to die for it, or why Lady Shar wants it. She doesn’t know who her parents were, or who she was before that night in the woods. She doesn’t know why she’s the only one with an unhealing wound on her hand. But she knows she has to get the artifact back to Baldur’s Gate, no matter what.
She knows she can’t afford distractions. But between the illithid tadpole in her head, the motley crew she’s become a part of, and the runaway from Avernus making her feel all sorts of things, she may not have a choice in the matter.
(Based on my first playthrough. Mostly.)
