Jane repeats her sister’s motions exactly and begins to calm down enough for her to stop crying. They continue doing the deep breath exercise twice more before Agatha decides Jane is relaxed enough for an explanation of her earlier crying fit.
“Janey, why were you crying?” Agatha repeats her earlier question.
“.... I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus under the mistletoe,” Jane says.
“Mum’s kissing Santa?!” Jane nods.
