‘Really weird’ didn’t cover the extent of it. Jayce felt heavy and woozy - unable to move properly. It was as if he were extremely inebriated. Panic crept up on him.
“Not to worry, this is all perfectly normal. You shall regain your functions soon enough.” Viktor hummed, “You've not been quite yourself for some time now. What do you recall last?”
His eyebrows furrowed. More sensation returned to him as he thought the question over. His vision cleared up just as the memories struck him all at once.

“The doctor is ready to see you now,” the receptionist called, waving Viktor through to the doctor’s office. Viktor fidgeted in a nervous habit and smiled tightly but politely as he grabbed his cane for support and passed through the doors into the hallway.
It looked like any other doctor’s office he’d ever been to - offprint magazines in the waiting room, a clean, professional patient’s room with an examination table in the center, and various medical ephemera that made Viktor sweat even knowing none of it was necessarily going to be used on him. Over the years, Viktor had been to dozens of check ups in patient’s rooms just like this one, the only difference was that Dr. Talis only attended to a very particular patient clientele.
