Summary
This summer in Pelican Town was one for the books, with heat unmatched to anything the small town has ever had to face before.
Taking a hefty toll on the productivity of the townsfolk, Elliot finds himself unmotivated to continue writing his romance novel, as he truly has no ideas left in his heat dazed mind! It's not until a run in with a certain town drunk does he recover his spark, and find a perfect persona for the main antagonist of his novel to adopt... just how long can he push Shane's button for writing inspiration, before enough becomes enough? How many times can he purposefully insert himself into situations to learn about Shane, before he learns too much? Maybe, after all of that, he may change his perspective on his novel entirely...and his fascination develops into something much, much more.
