Summary

That is until he started getting to know Emma Swan, who just so happens to live across the hall from him, and he has absolutely fallen for her in a way that he hasn’t fallen for anyone in a long time.
It’s the oldest story in the world...until it isn’t. Because it’s not just Emma he’s fallen in love with. It’s her unborn child too, and while everyone he knows thinks he’s crazy for falling in love with a pregnant woman, he knows that he’s not. Some things in life are worth taking the risk.

Darcy is lonely in London, waiting for Jane to come back from Asgard, is still unpaid, and is living off of the small retainer fee that is deposited into Jane's accounts and her perks as a sort-of Stark Industries employee. If she starts touring the labs and making friends while sneaking in for free coffee and food, well, no one has noticed yet, right?
Steve is not lonely, he's too busy to be lonely. But he is possibly struggling to connect, and really frustrated by all this technology stuff. And if he likes having a friend who doesn't know about and tip toe around his past, or expect anything from him? Who could blame him?
