Reki paused in the middle of eating his birthday cake, mouth hung open causing crumbs to fall. The fork hovered uselessly before his lips as he tried to gauge Langa’s expression. Anything that indicated he was only joking.
But no, Langa was looking very dead serious right now.
“WHAT?”
“What?”
“What do you mean by that???”
“I mean exactly that. We should get married,” answered Langa nonchalantly, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

I love this fic so much the way Reki builds relationships with people around him and reconciles with Langa is just amazing.

Well. . . hopefully not, but Reki figured that would save him a lot of time explaining. And if she did know, then she didn’t seem as upset as he had anticipated, which was definitely a plus.
