Summary
"The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the Heir, beware."
After escaping the Dursleys, Harry Potter is back at school, only for another homicidal maniac to be on the loose.
Except this time, his magic is on the rocks, Snape is breathing down his neck, and a mysterious boy in his dreams is offering advice Harry isn't sure he should trust. It doesn't help that there is something wrong with Draco Malfoy and his new diary.
Armed with a power never before seen in wizarding history, Harry must navigate his second year while trying his best not to die—again.

Summary
“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities,” - Albus Dumbledore
What if Harry made the choice not to ask the sorting hat to put him in Gryffindor?
The lines have been redrawn. His best friend Ron is in Hufflepuff, Hermione has joined Ravenclaw, and Harry is forced into co-inhabitance with Draco Malfoy and Theodore Nott.
But trauma doesn't disappear just because the child now holds a wand. Haunted by the Dursleys, Harry turns to ancient magic to survive Hogwarts' depths, only to discover the cost of such power.
Lightly based on SuperCarlinBrother’s “What if Harry was in Slytherin” video.
