After your battle at the end of the universe, you refuse to let Zenos die. Unsurprisingly, he refuses to let you die either.
(Zenos is the one to ferry you home rather than a teleporter. Everyone believes you both to be dead amongst the stars. Both completely emotionally fucked up, you decide to ignore your problems together rather than return to your old lives. It's gonna be fine, assuming no one ever finds out)
