Summary
Getting a new roommate is easy, keeping the right one is downright stressful. Sasha thinks that Charlotte might just be the perfect fit, Bayley just wants to survive, and Becky just wants to keep her room. Though the apartment is kind of a disaster, all it takes is to squint hard enough to see that differences are what brings out worthwhile relationships.
And to see that well… maybe it’s not all too bad.

Summary
Between her and Ronda, Becky thought that she always had the better eyesight. One time, she had even joked that it benefitted her because they had never gone for the same girl at a party. It benefitted Becky alright, and she used to be really happy about that. Except for that night, when she wished Ronda had seen the delivery truck coming. Because that was all she got. Wishes. Realistic wishes. Because you can’t ask too much from fate. Its tendrils had a way of corrupting all of the good things in the world.
After a tragic car crash, Sasha finds herself without the love of her life, and Becky without a best friend.

The thing about being a Nightcrawler was that you had to treat the rising action as the climax of the story, moving about the streets like a voyeuristic shadow, ready at any given moment. Most ‘respectable’ journalists gave them crap for it.

Summary
“These dreams you’re talking about, when did they start?” The therapist finally spoke, albeit slowly, Sasha was willing to see past the irritating and nasal drawl to stay still.
“Couple of weeks ago, just a few days after my parents’ funeral,” Sasha said coolly - like they have been cold facts being pulled out of an emptier soul. “It would always end with a blank face. A girl with auburn hair but I wasn’t that sure if it was because that is her hair or if it was because of the sun.”
She had not known dread, not in her parents’ funeral, and not in the accumulating break-ups and bad dates that have all told her that it’s her fault. So she wasn’t exactly sure why it lingered beneath the comfortable sheets and the unused spaces of her queen-sized bed.

Summary
Them? They weren’t friends.
In fact, they had no idea what they were - just that they were happy not to think about it. But whatever they were would raise questions. Becky hated questions as much as Sasha hated explaining. So instead Sasha paced towards her door and closed it, the clicking sound almost revealed the sweat that had started to form from Becky’s temple. She moved towards Becky and used the crook of her finger to lift her chin up. The girl gazed at Sasha with hooded eyes and subsiding fury.

Summary
When Becky returned to her, the air stood still. Sasha had toiled through both dreams and nightmares a thousand and one times for every time her soul had longed for Becky - each of them a unique permutation of the one thing that was never going to happen. The reality was nothing quite like it. [STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO READ THE TAGS]

Summary
“...So tell me, Garfield. What brings you here?” Sasha’s breath was hot against her ear, teasing, fluid like the movement of her hips.
Becky licked her lips, this was a different person from the lab partner that she had met.
“A dare,” Becky rasped. “Some jackass told me to make out with you and I’m here to shoot my shot. Listen, I’m not paying for three buckets of beer. And you? Why are you here on a Thursday night?”

Summary
It isn’t the flow of strangely-colored locks, or glistening bronze skin that just looks so perfect under the glaring sun, or the sway of what looked to be sufficiently-chiseled legs that catches Becky off-guard. It certainly isn’t the enigmatic silence and occasional charismatic laughter of the rather cliquish girl that causes Becky to unconsciously search the room for one presence. Becky did not agree to come to the country to move on but to enjoy solitude and time searching for who she really is outside of a relationship.
So why does she find herself checking all of these boxes?
