Summary
“Oh, yes, Sarah. You’ve wanted me for such a long time, haven’t you? The lack of man, of children. The fairytale art and books that make up your life instead. You still play pretend for a job. You’ve never been able to let it go. Not fully.”
She pulls back and he lets her, arms loosening, uncoiling. She still clutches to his shoulders, though her mind and heart race. “It’s not only you,” she says. “I… it hasn’t been thirty-three years of pining. Give me some credit.”
He reaches up and brushes some of her hair away. “No,” he agrees. “But it’s been enough. There’s a mark left here-” he lays the flat of his hand over her heart, “-which is there to stay.”
.
Thirty-three years of nothing, and there he is one Halloween night, exactly as she remembers, crooked smile, dark eyes and deep, seeing gaze.

Summary
Sarah gets ghosted at a Halloween-themed rave. Typical. What's not typical? Goblins falling from the ceiling and a very fae-miliar foe who won't stop gawking at her tits. Halloween one-shot/potential holiday chronical. Rated E for a reason. *wink*

Later, Jareth would look back on the moment just before her sudden and unexpected arrival to reassure himself that he hadn’t made any wishes. Wishes always demand payment, and some wishes have far higher prices than others.

Summary
"Hello, Sarah." Jareth said.
He had imagined this moment a thousand times over. He'd see Sarah again, of that he had clearly been right. He'd come to her rescue; right again. She would be grateful. She would fall into his arms, gratitude heavy on her lips as she praised him for sacrificing so much.
But in every scenario, there had always been champagne and peaches and riding crops. Somehow, diapers and a screeching infant made for an infinitely less exciting reunion.
