Summary
Wano stays behind, but the misunderstandings don’t.
Nami finally says what’s been gnawing at her since they left. Hiyori. Jealousy, maybe. Anger, definitely. The feeling didn’t start in Wano, though. It started back in Punk Hazard, when she watched Zoro carry Tashigi without complaint. nothing like the way he’d grumbled back in Alabasta when Nami had asked the same of him. She let it go. Until Wano made it impossible to ignore, until the need to shout at him for making her feel this way lodged itself in her throat and refused to leave.
Zoro isn’t innocent either.
It never bothered him when Nami used her looks to her advantage, when men fawned over her or when the idiot cook declared his love like it was a daily ritual. He didn’t even react when she ran straight into Luffy’s arms at Zou, smiling like the world had finally settled back into place. He always thought he didn’t care. Looking back, he realizes he was wrong. Now she’s yelling at him, voice raw, reasons tangled and sharp and instead of defending himself, instead of walking away, the only thing Zoro wants to do is close the distance between them and make her stop talking altogether.

Summary
It's for all those separations that are still weighing on her shoulders, for the suffocating melancholy that's making her emotionally fragile - yes, it's their fault, if Nami no longer feels the urge to joke and the memories bleed against her bones.
Because that, she realizes with anguish, is one of the last moments she'll live with Zoro, the last night left before their farewell.Bookmarked by Rinaiii
