Trinity’s diabolical grin could force a couple of exorcists to come over. Two little devils in her dark eyes danced from euphoria, while Dennis’s Adam apple slightly twitched. He regretted everything he said immediately, it seemed like even the fairy lights laughed about his stupidity at their own pace.
“Oh! And don’t forget the makeup.”
Somebody yelled on the side, while Whitaker’s head slowly filled itself with cotton, almost like a sinking ship letting the water in, soaking everything it touches. No, he couldn’t do it. He just couldn’t. Even if the bet was an interesting challenge at this point of his life, he couldn’t accept it because of the bare, ugly concept of losing. What about his reputation?
