When Jayce goes to the commune to kill Viktor, he finds that he cannot do it, and decides to reason with him instead.
This produces different consequences than before. When Ambessa does not get Vander, she searches for a different war weapon, and sees potential in Viktor's powers. Viktor, however, has already been influenced by Jayce, and refuses to help, leading her to take him by force. Singed, working for Ambessa, tries to replicate Vander's healing abilities and control on Viktor. Jayce must save him before they reignite armageddon, or worse, break the man he loves.
They *will* get their happy ending.

This story is all about hurt/comfort. Jayce will show his true feelings for Viktor immediately. He is very protective. He is not happy with Ambessa at all.
