Summary
Park ranger Sam Wesson loves his job in Manning Park Canada, as it allows him the level of human interaction he desires and proximity to animals and nature he loves. When he finds a sandy brown wolf at the side of the road his life is about to change drastically and there is much that his friend and veterinarian Mary Campbell has never shared with him about his own nature and heritage. He feels protective of the wolf but the large animal escapes before they can help him fully heal. A while later an abused man is found in the woods in Sam's territory and the puzzle pieces slowly fall into place while a larger threat develops around them, that sets Sam off on his journey to find his true nature and more.
