Summary
After 5 years with the Atlantis expedition, Dr. Semira Zettler worse-than-ever missed her family, particularly her tactilely affectionate older brother and his toddler who’s attached to her hip every time she’s back on Earth. She’d finally admitted to herself, and did so to a friend on base, she’s touch-starved and perhaps feeling a little lonely despite not being alone.
Cpl Yates overheard that conversation and promptly decided to rush from a tentatively establishing friendzone straight into her personal space. She didn’t actually need any knight in shiny armor – or black leather – to get out of that situation, but...
Then she realized, maybe Todd could use someone in his corner, too – the lone Wraith ambassador, without a Hive in orbit for months at a time, among a couple hundred humans. After all, most of them were incapable of telepathically connecting with him, had they wanted to, and still wary of making contact, at all, though he no longer needed to feed.
It wasn’t difficult for her to be kind, especially after being offered support, and one can never have too many friends, right? Not that she had too many of those, in the first place – polite but a bit introverted, considering few as close companions.- Words:
