My interpretation of what should have happened with that one scene in the Hollow Inn.

The sight before her was angelic: His eyelids were lowered, his gaze was hazy but still locked on her. Strands of sweaty golden hair stuck to his forehead, the rest of it messy and wispy. His blue irises glimmered, reflecting an image of herself - legs spread, face red, rose-gold hair sprawled across the pillow. His face was flushed, a deep rose hue tinting his cheeks, and his lips glistened with wetness that dripped to his chin. Sweat beaded along his chest, that rose and fell with heavy pants.

“I’ll be down the hall if you need me,” he said, offering a small smile as he rose.
She grabbed his hand back before he could leave. “Az….”
He looked at her with a softness she rarely saw. “Yes?”
“Can you stay with me tonight… please?”
Azriel nodded. He moved to grab one of the chairs near the fireplace to place beside her bed.
"Can you sleep beside me, maybe hold me? My sister used to do that when I had nightmares," she interjected.
Azriel nodded once more but glanced down at himself. He had rushed into her room so quickly that he was only now painfully aware he was in just his undershorts. "Do you want me to put more clothes on first?" he asked tentatively.
She probably should have been more concerned about his lack of dress, but she trusted Azriel. He could be completely bare, and she knew he wouldn’t touch her without permission. "No, it’s fine," she replied, pulling the blanket down for him to join her in bed.

Gwyn and Azriel wake up brutally hungover in his bed, both confused about how they ended up together. They discover matching wedding rings on their fingers and must piece together their hazy memories of the previous night to figure out what exactly happened. Not unexpectedly, Azriel's shadows refuse to offer any insight, but maybe their friends can help.
___________________________Loosely based on the movie "The Hangover" and the "Friends" episode where Ross and Rachel get married in Vegas, because, of course, if you've seen both of those you immediately thought of Gwynriel!
