Jihoon whips his gaze up, realisation harsh and disbelieving in his face.
“Wait...You know him?”
Mingyu grins coolly.
“Yeah. That’s Choi Seungcheol. He’s the president of the fraternity I’m rushing for—”
Jihoon’s mouth drops open, and he is speechless for a moment, mind racing with the implications of this. Somehow it feels even worse that his roommate knows the guy; he would never have drooled over him out loud if he had known that.
“You... you’re not gonna tell him, are you? About what I said.”
Mingyu tilts his head, his eyes softening.
“That you want to jump his bones? No, of course not. This stays between me and you. I promise.” He smiles, all gentle reassurance, before he twists in his seat and cups his hands around his mouth and hollers, “Yo Choi! Get over here man! I got something to tell ya!”

Where Jihoon and Seungcheol are top fanfic writers on AO3, famously known in the Haikyuu fandom. When Seungcheol gets spams, he decides to shoot his shot and make a business proposition. Just because he's been denied, doesn't mean he'll give up. Jihoon's skeptical so he keeps it to gifted works until he feels he's ready.

Jihoon does not trust his voice to come out acquiescing, but he manages a smile and a nod, which seems to be all the deference Mr Jeon wants or expects from him at this juncture.
There will be plenty of time to question the need for such silly rules later, once he’s more settled. No sense in creating a stir on his first day!

Jin-ho grins, tossing aside his crumbled-up coaster in favour of his beer. “I have a potential client who needs round the clock protection for his son, but my men are a thin on the ground right now, and I don’t want to just put anyone in there. I need someone I can trust.”
Seungcheol grimaces, running his thumb along the condensation on the side of his bottle.
“I don’t think I’d be very good with kids.”“He’s not a kid. He’s actually a very mature, very responsible twenty-five-year-old. A little spoilt, I won’t lie, but he’s also quiet, smart, and more than pulls his weight when it comes to the family business. He doesn’t go out looking for trouble.”
“What does he need a bodyguard for then?”
Jin-ho looks up briefly, and then away. It isn’t like him to be skittish. “He’s an unbonded Omega.”
Seungcheol curls his lip, nodding, “Ah, so Daddy’s worried about the wrong kind of Alpha sniffing about.”
He supposes that makes sense; a sensible investment if you've got the money. Except...what the hell made Jin-ho think he’d be the right kind?”

Lee Minho remains an unsolvable mystery, and always will be just that, for he’s unreachable, and Seungmin is just Seungmin. He shouldn’t bother trying to figure out why the man leaves his future to his cat and ruins his hanbok just to help someone everyone hates— someone he once abandoned when Seungmin needed him most.

12 years have passed since Seungmin first met Minho. 8 years have passed since they last held hands. 4 years have passed since they even acknowledged each other's existence. Funny how a cat is what closes the distance between them and mends broken bonds caused by an accident neither one of them can let go of.
