Gorgeously written homage to the Little Mermaid that chucks most of the original story out the window and only keeps the parts worth polishing. Their FL is fierce and driven, beautifully cold and deeply empathetic in turn, and I adore her. Possibly my favorite rewrite of this classic story, and I've read dozens of them, published and fanfiction alike, because I have a weakness for fairy tales. Highly recommended.

Based on a Prompt from Reign | RudeHellion on Discord. Prompt: Harry Potter knows his parents were bad people. He feels it on a level too deep to argue with, the product of a dysfunctional childhood with the Dursley’s. When people praise them or compare him to them, he feels uncomfortable and angry. After he learns about Voldemort, he can’t help but wonder— could the man who killed two bad people really be all that bad himself?
