Summary
Ten years after her death, Masumi Arakawa still misses Akane deeply. He reaches out to a few people who knew her in life, and remembers Jiro Kasuga, the proprietor of Shangri-la, the well-known soapland in Kamurocho where Akane used to work. He expects to get maybe a story or two about his lost love that he can pass on to his son, Masato, and instead, finds Ichiban Kasuga - Jiro's adopted son.
Jiro explains that Akane told him to retrieve the child if she and Masumi were killed, and that he's raised Ichiban under the impression that both of his parents died that night.
Masumi realizes he opened the wrong locker; While strong in his conviction that Masato is still his son, he understands that Ichiban is the boy he was meant to take home that night. Masumi must navigate this minefield of upheavals as best he can, with Jo Sawashiro, his ever-faithful Captain at his side.

Summary
Sephiroth has feelings he doesn't understand about Zack. While he tries to parse through them, Zack admits that reading takes a focus he just doesn't have. In a moment of accidental emotional availability, Sephiroth offers to read to him aloud sometime.
Much to Sephiroth's excitement and fear, Zack thinks that sounds amazing.

Summary
Sephiroth maintains most of his sanity post-Nibelheim because the right people stepped in at the right time. He returns to Shinra to give his resignation and take his things, but every moment he spends in the room with President Shinra, the closer he is to giving in to the hate and rage. Those discoveries changed him, and he's not sure it is for the better. He's not sure how much it matters.
AU: Seph grows up with a friend in the labs, a supposed child or descendant of Ifrit, named Ash. With them at his side, Sephiroth has the space to be more human. This is also an aged-up AU, making everyone an adult at the beginning of CC. Love the canon child soldiers, but I like writing adults more than I like writing teens.

Literally just chronicles Michael walking his things to the other office. There's lots of intrusive thoughts and memories bubbling up because he deals poorly with change.
