Summary
Lestat, freshly showered, sits on the couch in pajamas and a silk black robe, absently flipping through one of Louis' books.
"I don't mind sleeping on the couch tonight," Lestat says, setting the book down, eyes trailing after Louis.
"You're not sleeping on the couch," Louis scoffs. He enters the bathroom, not bothering to entertain the conversation. "The bed is huge."
"I just want to make sure you're comfortable."
"If I wasn't comfortable, I wouldn't have come out to the middle of nowhere with you," Louis says.
In a trailer in the middle of the desert, Louis and Lestat get to know each other again.

Summary
Armand and Louis were sitting on a little couch along the back wall of the room. It was also softly lit, filled with tissue boxes and blankets and complimentary bottles of water. Pitiful comforts in the face of such all-consuming agony. Armand was holding one of Louis’ hands tightly in both his own, speaking to him softly. When Lestat opened the door, Louis immediately stood.
Then he fell to his knees, because all it took was one look at Lestat’s face, and he knew.
