Summary
Like most of Gale’s problems since the Nautiloid, this whole mess is Tav’s fault. He doesn’t know exactly what Tav told Astarion when Gale was out of the room, but he trusts that they didn’t betray his confidence. Probably.
Whatever it is has made Astarion act even stranger than normal and it is threatening Gale’s very carefully curated compartmentalization of his feelings for the man.

Astarion Ancunin works hard on his YouTube channel, sometimes spending weeks on the beautiful fashion films that show off his handcrafted gowns. His audience may be small but he's proud of his content. Which is why it's so godsdamned irritating when the self-named 'Wizard Of Waterdeep' starts posting hideous videos of his endless rambling and gets two million subscribers almost overnight.
Meanwhile, Gale Dekarios is selling his soul to make 'content' (ugh), just to try to get people to love magic again. He hates his channel and he hates himself, so he seeks solace in his favorite corner of the internet: r/galehaters — with his new online BFF, WhiteBat.

The hand removed itself from his forehead. “Temperature is normal,” Gale announced, before using its fingers to gather some stray drool that had trailed down Astarion’s jaw. Before Astarion could register the pitiful jolt of arousal at the sudden skin contact or the sheer absurdity of what Gale was doing, Gale had stuck its fingers in its mouth.
“What the —”
“No new bacteria detected,” Gale went on, “Ruling out food poisoning.”
“Oh, Gods,” Astarion groaned. “And to think that these things are what’s sending our workforce into a tizzy. What next, 'droid? Are you about to give me a rectal examination too?”
“There is no need for one at the moment,” Gale said, confused. “Unless you are seeking prostate stimulation—”
“No!”
