Bucciarati huffs a humorous breath, “Technically I was on speaker. But yes, Abbacchio answered,” he pauses, and his expression shifts into an unfamiliar one. It’s not exactly a smile, but it’s not sad or neutral. It's... happy? Somehow it's happy. There is a passion in his eyes. An unfamiliar passion that Giorno has never encountered. Summary
The world had been unkind to Fugo at 13 and it wasn't looking any better on the crux of 17. Bruno Bucciarati had balanced the world on his unfilled shoulders at 17, and Fugo simply helps his boss with homework at that very same age. But maybe that's what a guardian is supposed to do: take the burden of life and make it easier for posterity's sake. Maybe Fugo would have the opportunity to love fully like Bucciarati yearned to, or maybe he'll just fuck it up all over again.
