Summary
Wanda Maximoff and the rest of Cap's team escape The Raft, but not unscathed. Wanda is the victim of rape at the hands of her captors and is suffering from crippling PTSD as a result. Vision wonders how he can comfort her, help her heal, restore their relationship, and make progress as a couple in a healthy, supportive relationship -- and it is not an easy road for him. Throughout this process, they both learn what it means to love a traumatized person in good times and in bad.
Content warning: this story deals with rape/sexual assault and navigating a romantic relationship after these traumatic events.
Work title and chapter titles taken from the lyrics to "Hesitate" by the Jonas Brothers. I highly recommend giving it a listen to set the mood!
