Summary
Much to his continued surprise, Steve's sex life is far exceeding anything he'd ever imagined for himself. Admittedly, he's still not having actual sex, but he's perfectly fine with that, happier that way, probably, only when Bucky unexpectedly puts the idea back on the table, Steve isn't as sure as he thought he'd be that his answer is still no.

Summary
Steve hasn't had the best of experiences in the bedroom. In fact, they've been pretty fucking awful. So much so that the thought of trying again with anyone, even Bucky, is simply too terrifying to contemplate. Only his fear of what might happen in bed soon begins to affect his relationship outside of it too and, loathed as he is to admit it, Steve can't keep pretending that he's ok. Somehow he's going to have to find a way to face up to his demons, because if he doesn't... Well, he might end up losing Bucky for good.

Back in Brooklyn, there’d been nights where Steve or Bucky would press hands and mouths together, touch each other furtively under rustling sheets. There was always some excuse — no decent dames at the dance for Bucky that night, or Steve needing something to distract him from the wheezing rattle of his chest — and they'd laugh it off afterwards, like it was nothing.
It doesn’t feel like nothing now.
(Two first times: post-Zola angst, and reuniting in the twenty-first century.)
