Summary
It was Aristophanes who said it first, between his hiccups. The original human nature was very different to the present. Every person had a huge head with two faces, two pairs of arms and two pairs of legs. It was Zeus' wrath that parted them in half with his thunders, only to leave those lonely, two-legged creatures to wander around for eternity, until they could find the other half that they needed to ever be at peace.
His knuckles are dried and almost bleeding from the piercing cold and it makes it harder for him to do his job, not that many people care to have their portraits or caricatures drawn that time of the year. Believing you’ll get rich as one of all the antagonistic streets artist in the crowded Place du Tertre of Montmartre during the winter, is like expecting to save the world as a member of a merry little band of activist college students.
Grantaire doesn’t fall under that category of people. For one thing he’s not naïve, he’s not the activist, he’s the cause, he’s the homeless guy all the idealists want to save and let him tell you what, he doesn't want to be saved.

Grantaire's a beat cop in Chicago. Enjolras is best known for being the Handsome Protest Boy meme, although he'd really like you to spend less of your time photoshopping him onto things and more time becoming politically aware. Also, he's 25.
When Enjolras stands on the wrong end of a bar fence with an open container of alcohol, it begins the most embarrassing arrest of Grantaire's life.

Summary
My personal drabbles on Les Amis after reading a ton of other awesome, more amazing fics than mine. And of course, my OTP is E/R, along with the others mentioned above. I'm not sure about Feuilly or Bahorel so I just made them date girls.
Basically Les Mis with the French names and terms and everything... but set in modern New York. Discrepancy schmepancy.
P.S. This is my first ever Les Mis fanfic, so please be patient with me; I know I'm not the best writer out there, but I do try my best to make y'all happy :)
P.P.S. Will sell soul for comments and kudos. And by that I mean I will write more and update (even) more regularly for comments and kudos ;)

I just…I mean, it’s no small secret that I have never been considered ‘boyfriend material’, but it’s something I’m willing to work on if it’ll make you happy. Do you, like, want a hug or something?”
Enjolras gave him a funny, almost accusatory, look. “I don’t do hugs.”
Okay, then. Hugs were now off the list indefinitely.
